"The Movement of Matter": An Exhibition by Sonia Braun, Laura Manuel & Cecilia Nigro
Matter is time in motion. Water changes form, clay preserves the imprint of a moment, and pigment settles and erodes, as if writing and erasing its own history. In this passage, matter retains something of what it once was and, through transformation, opens onto the possibility of what it may yet become.

The exhibition offers a journey through Argentina’s landscapes and expansive skies, envisioned as a sensitive map where memory, nature, and contemplation intertwine. Drawing on her parallel practice as a translator, Cervini treats language and image as interconnected signifiers: lived experience becomes gesture, gesture becomes form, and form returns to life on canvas.
