Design from Entre Ríos on the Global Runway

From September 14 to 16, within the framework of New York Fashion Week (#NYFW), four brands from Entre Ríos took part in Coterie NY, one of the most influential international fashion trade shows, held at the Javits Center in New York. This event brings together buyers, curators, specialized media, and industry leaders who set trends in the global market.

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Development of Entre Ríos and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the province’s design scene traveled from the Argentine littoral to one of the sector’s most prestigious stages, showcasing its identity, innovation, and export potential.

The participating brands:

  • María Faure → Author jewelry that blends contemporary design with artisanal craftsmanship.
  • Gruya Ropa Desigual → Unique knitwear and accessories by Alejandrina Wagner, inspired by Entre Ríos’ identity and local textile traditions.
  • RØMU → Contemporary fashion and high-quality tailoring by Romina Wasinger, bringing Argentine design to a global stage.
  • La Rosa Blanca → Espadrilles (Alpargatas) with Entre Ríos identity by Sandra Ostorero, reinterpreting a classic footwear style with modern materials and avant-garde design.

Each brand had the opportunity to present its collections, establish business connections, and engage directly with international fashion professionals—opening doors to new opportunities for growth and visibility.

The designers highlighted the importance of showcasing the added value of Argentine design in a highly competitive market such as New York. For them, participating in Coterie NY not only represents recognition of their creative work, but also the chance to build professional networks, forge strategic alliances, and reach new international buyers.

Exporting identity, opening markets

The participation of Entre Ríos in Coterie NY reflects the potential of Argentina’s creative sector and its contribution to the national economy. The products presented are designed and produced in Argentina, strengthening the country’s position as a hub of talent and originality.

Exporting design with identity is, at the same time, a way to open markets, diversify exports, and generate genuine income for Argentina. In a global fashion industry increasingly seeking authenticity and cultural roots, Entre Ríos demonstrated that it has much to offer.

With this presence, Entre Ríos reaffirms its place on the international fashion map, projecting Argentine creativity across borders and proving that local talent is a strategic tool for development and global positioning.

The Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in New York supported this participation as part of its mission to assist Argentine companies in their internationalization process. Through these trade promotion efforts, the Consulate reaffirms its commitment to serve as a bridge between Argentine creativity and international markets, and remains available to support initiatives that seek to position our country abroad.
