Principal Dancer Paloma Herrera Presented Her Documentary at the Consulate of Argentina in New York

On June 7th, 2011, Paloma Herrera, Principal Ballerina of the prestigious American Ballet Theatre (ABT), based in New York, presented the documentary “Paloma Herrera, Here and Now”, about her life and recognized artistic career, at the Consulate of Argentina in New York.

The documentary, directed by Jorge Fama describes the journey of Herrera, one of the most important dancers of the history of the ABT, from her beginnings at the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires, to the top of the dance world in New York.

After the screening, the dancer talked with the audience and answered questions. The evening finished with a cocktail reception offered by the Consul General and the Cultural Attaché, with the presence of public figures, from the ballet world and the New York cultural arena.

La Primera Bailarina Paloma Herrera Presento Su Documental en el Consulado Argentino en  Nueva York

El Martes 7 de Junio, la primera bailarina del prestigioso American Ballet Theatre (A.B.T.) de New York,  presentó el documental, “Paloma Herrera, Here and Now”, acerca de su vida e importante carrera artística en el Consulado en New York.

La obra del director Jorge Fama recorre los pasos de Herrera - una de las bailarinas mas importantes en la historia del famoso A.B.T. - desde sus inicios en el Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires hasta llegar a la cima de la danza mundial en Nueva York.

Luego de la proyección, la bailarina dialogó  con el público y contestó  preguntas. La noche culminó con una recepción ofrecida por el Cónsul General y la Agregada Cultural, que contó con la presencia de un variado publico incluyendo figuras del mundo del ballet y la cultura Neoyorquina
