RAICES AWARDS 2024 Award Ceremony - July 8, 2025, 10am (EDT)

We congratulate the Argentine scientists of the RAICES Network - Northeastern USA, Drs. Viviana Zelizer (Princeton University, NJ) and Carlos Lousto (University of Rochester, NY), who have been distinguished with the RAICES 2024 Award, along with ten other compatriots who develop research in different parts of the world. At the proposal of the respective Evaluation Committees of the RAICES Network, the jury, composed of authorities from the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology (SICyT), CONICET and prominent academics, has distinguished them for their contribution to the strengthening of science and technology capabilities in our country.

The NETWORKS OF ARGENTINE RESEARCHERS, SCIENTISTS AND TECHNOLOGISTS ABROAD (RAICES) are spaces for linking Argentine scientists living abroad, organized by country of residence. Each Network has its own structure, as well as authorities elected by its members and recognized by the SICyT. The Networks promote activities of interest to their members and work in collective actions together with the Secretariat. Currently, the RAICES Program has 24 Networks in 25 countries.

We invite those interested to attend the presentation of the awards to Drs. Zelizer and Lousto next Tuesday, July 8 at the Argentine Consulate General in New York, from where we will also follow the award ceremony and the dialogue with the other award winners, in a hybrid format ceremony that will take place between 10 am and 1 pm (EDT).
