The reception of documents for the consular section is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and from 2pm to 5pm. The Consulate will remain closed during Argentine and American holidays. In most cases, documents will be processed and will be ready for pick up the following day, except in the case of life certificates, which will be processed and delivered on the same day (subject to paperwork load on that day).
Life certificates, certificates of residence for customs, and translations of Argentine driver licenses can be submitted by mail. Please enclose the required documentation, money order (if applicable), and a pre-paid self-addressed envelope to return the documents, along with your contact information. Usually, these procedures take 1 to 2 business days once received at the Consulate. For your security, we suggest using certified mail, or private couriers (DHL, Fedex, UPS), so you can have a tracking number. The Consulate is not responsible for delays or loss of documents once they have been delivered to the carrier.
