Taking domestic animals (cats and dogs) to Argentina

The Consulate does not process nor grant any license to enter animals to Argentina.

Anyone who wishes to enter dogs, cats or any other nontraditional pets to Argentina may check the requirements and procedures by clicking here.

As a general rule, all animals must count with an International Health Certificate issued by the Veterinarian Authority at the country of origin. At least one of the languages on the certificate must be Spanish. You may check the authorized veterinarians on the US on the following link.

In most cases, the rabies vaccination is also required.

Remember that the boarding of your pet must be coordinated directly with the airline.

For more information, you may check the webpage of SENASA.
