IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Starting on January 1st, 2022, if you reside out of Argentina and collect your pension through an authorized bank, you must present your life certificate every semester.
Only the life certificates processed at the Consulate during the months of January/February and July/August are valid.
The Consulate may only process the applications of those living within its jurisdiction. Those living in a different place must contact the proper consulate office.
Life Certificates may be requested personally at the Consulate, in which case you will need to ask for an appointment and present your self with a valid Argentine ID, or by mail, in which case the applicant must first sign a declaration before a county clerk and sent it by mail to the Consulate with an envelope and proper stamp for its return.
The process at the Consulate is free of charge and it usually can be processed in one day (subject to paperwork load on that day).
