On April 22nd, there was a wine and gourmet food tasting from the Province of Mendoza at the Consulate. This event took place in the framework of celebrations for the Malbec World Day 2014 in New York City, and it is the first of a series of tastings that the Consulate is planning to organize in collaboration with Fundacion Pro Mendoza in 2014.

The wineries were: Vida Mía; Finca La Malena; Vitae; Calivista; Fat Gaucho; y  Adoquin and Fingerprint.

Along with the wine tasting, on this ocassion, a chef from Mendoza, Pablo Ranea, prepared a menu of argentine regional dishes, using gourmet products from his Province. The food producers companies were: De mi Campo SA; Bianco y Nero SRL; Aromas de Cocina; Ilnolio SA; LAM SA.

Lastly, Mariano Formosel, a designer from Mendoza, exhibited a collection of wine glasses and artisan china and explained the fabrication process.
