If you have an inquiry or wish to contact the ANSES in Spanish, you may do so through the Argentine residents living abroad line:

Life Certificates may be requested at the Consulate

1 - In Person

The holder of the retirement or pension benefit can come in person at the Consulate with their valid Argentine DNI or passport. The procedure is free of charge, and the certificate usually can be issued on the same day (subject to the number of applicants paperwork load on that day).

At this time, individuals who wish to complete the procedure in person may come to the Consulate without an appointment, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (the Consulate is closed from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. for lunch) and from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Please check for holidays on which the Consulate may be closed.

2 - By mail

The holder of the retirement or pension benefit must print and complete the form (available here) and sign it in the presence of a notary public. The notary public's signature must then be certified by the corresponding county clerk. Once the signature has been certified, the completed form must be sent to the Consulate by postal mail, along with a prepaid return envelope, which will be used to send back the Certificate of Life. The procedure at the Consulate is free of charge. However, please note that the services of the notary public and the county clerk usually involve a fee, which must be paid directly by the applicant.

3) Remote Certification

A distance-based method that allows you to obtain the Certificate of Life (Proof of Life) without needing to travel to the Consulate or a notary public. This service is only available to individuals residing within our jurisdiction.

The interested person must have access to the "Zoom" platform to participate in videoconferences, including the necessary equipment.

To obtain an appointment, you must send us an email with your contact information (be sure to include your phone number and a time range during which you can be reached, in case we have any questions about your request) to: cnyor-tramites@mrecic.gov.ar  .Only during the months of January and February or July and August, you may request your appointment directly through the online appointment platform "Turnos Online"

At the time of the interview, the applicant must have their DNI (Argentine national ID) on hand.
Also, please have a scanned copy of both sides of your DNI ready in .pdf or .jpg format.

Ensure that your Zoom profile is not muted, and that both your microphone and camera are functioning properly.

The process at the Consulate is free of charge and it usually can be processed in one day (subject to paperwork load on that day).
