Martín Leopoldo Díaz

On Thursday, January 22 the Auditorium of the Consulate General hosted the Concert of the Argentine pianist Martín Leopoldo Díaz..

He was born in Pehuajó city in 1967.     

He completed his training with pianist Susana Bonora and graduated at the National Conservatory of Music "Carlos López Buchardo" of Argentina in 1990 at the Chair of Professor Mercedes Pomilio. He received the Gold Medal for achieving the top marks of his graduating class.  

Martín Díaz gave concerts in prestigious halls of Argentina: Colon Theater of Buenos Aires,  Auditorium Theater of Mar del Plata,  San Martín Theater of Tucumán,  Colon Theater of Mar del Plata. National Museum of Fine Arts,  La Scala Theater of San Telmo, Villa Ocampo (sponsored by UNESCO), Recoleta Cultural Center, Basilica of Guadalupe, Argentinian Theater of La Plata, San Ignacio de Loyola Church, State White Hall of Pehuajó,  Spanish Theater of Trenque Lauquen, Catalan Centre of  Rosario, State Green Room of Bolivar.

Currently he is the Artistic Director of the National Festival of Tango at Pehuajó City, Cultural Columnist in Continental Radio ("Before Tomorrow" and "Let´s live") and Journal of Culture, collaborator at  Martin Wullich Portal for Arts, Culture and Shows and  Choirmaster in Buenos Aires and hometown.

The repertoire included among others compositions: Malena (Manzi-Demari-Trípodi), El porteñito (Villoldo-Trípodi), Naranjo en Flor (Expósito), El choclo (Villoldo), Uno (Mores).
