Mercedes Larreta is an Argentine painter and poet born in Buenos Aires. She took studio classes with great painters, among them Eduardo Audivert, Guillermo Roux, and Eulogio de Jesús.
Mercedes Larreta’s art harbors the experiences and landscapes that have formed
part of life since the beginning: the Argentine countryside and its southern region. Her paintings are inhabited by a feminine soul that embraces nature amidst trees,
foxes, rivers, and guanacos.
