Commemorating the 216th Anniversary of Argentina's May Revolution

The Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in New York commemorated the 216th Anniversary of the May Revolution with a ceremony held at the Monument to General José de San Martín in Central Park, joined by members of the Argentine community, Consuls General, authorities, colleagues, and friends of Argentina.

The traditional wreath-laying ceremony took place during a day marked by emotion, unity, and a strong sense of community. Each May 25 invites us to remember with pride and gratitude the values that gave birth to our Nation, while renewing our commitment to the ideals of freedom, unity, and hope that continue to inspire present and future generations.

The celebration later continued at the Consulate, where members of the Argentine community and friends of Argentina gathered for another meaningful moment of connection and community at Argentina’s home in New York.

The Consulate extends a very special recognition to the flag bearers of the Argentine School in New York for once again accompanying this meaningful celebration for the Argentine community.

The Consulate also expresses its gratitude to the artists who made this commemoration an unforgettable moment through music, dance, and Argentine tradition. In particular, to Luka & Niko Zylik for their moving performance of the Argentine National Anthem; to Javier Colli and Sebastián Ríos; and to the dancers of Ballet Sol Cuyano and Ballet Río de la Plata.

¡Viva la Patria!
