Buy Patagonia 2026 in New York: Connecting Argentina’s Flagship Destination with the U.S. Market

The Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in New York hosted a new edition of Buy Patagonia 2026, a strategic initiative aimed at promoting one of Argentina’s most iconic tourism regions in the United States. The activity was organized in collaboration with the Patagonia Argentina Tourism Board and the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR).

The program began with a presentation at the Consulate’s auditorium, where representatives of the Patagonian tourism ecosystem showcased the region’s diverse and high-quality offering to a curated audience of U.S.-based tour operators, travel agencies, and industry professionals. The session highlighted Patagonia’s unique positioning as a global destination, combining pristine natural landscapes with adventure tourism, premium gastronomy, luxury experiences, and emblematic destinations.

The event featured the active participation of Argentina’s Patagonian provinces Chubut, Río Negro, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego, each presenting its distinctive attractions and experiences. From the glaciers of Santa Cruz and the southernmost landscapes of Tierra del Fuego, to the lakes and mountains of Neuquén, the wildlife and coastline of Chubut, and the diversity of Río Negro, the regional showcase reflected the breadth and richness of Patagonia as a destination.

Argentine Patagonia continues to generate strong interest in the U.S. market, supported by a renewed national context marked by ongoing economic reforms and greater macroeconomic stabilization, which contribute to enhanced predictability and confidence. At the same time, improvements in international and domestic connectivity are making the region increasingly accessible, reinforcing its competitiveness as a long-haul destination.

Following the presentation, the activity continued with targeted B2B meetings, creating a dynamic platform for direct engagement between Argentine tourism operators and their U.S. counterparts. These exchanges are designed to foster concrete business opportunities, strengthen commercial ties, and facilitate the development of new partnerships within the tourism sector.

The event brought together a broad representation of Patagonia’s tourism industry, including provincial tourism boards, destination management organizations, hotels, tour operators, and specialized service providers. Their presence reflected the depth, diversity, and professionalism of Argentina’s tourism offer.

As Argentina’s Promotion Center in New York, the Consulate continues to play an active role in connecting national sectors with one of the most competitive and influential markets in the world. Initiatives such as Buy Patagonia are a clear example of how targeted promotion, combined with business-oriented engagement, contributes to positioning Argentina as a priority destination for international travelers.
