Argentina participated in Seafood Expo North America 2026 in Boston

Argentina took part in Seafood Expo North America / Seafood Processing North America 2026, the leading seafood trade show in North America, held from March 15 to 17 in Boston, United States.

Argentina’s participation took place through the National Pavilion organized by PromArgentina under the motto “Argentine Sea: Wild and Southern,” highlighting a competitive, high-quality fishing sector with strong international projection.

Ten Argentine companies participated in the pavilion, presenting their export products — including shrimp, squid, hake, king crab, and other seafood — to buyers, distributors, and representatives of the international seafood industry. The Argentine stand also hosted business meetings and culinary tastings led by an Argentine chef.

Seafood Expo North America brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries each year, making it a key platform for strengthening commercial relationships and promoting exports from Argentina’s fishing industry.

The opening of the Argentine pavilion was attended by the Undersecretary for Aquatic Resources and Fisheries, Juan Antonio López Cazorla, together with provincial representatives to the Federal Fisheries Council, provincial authorities, and private sector representatives. The Consul General of the Argentine Republic in New York, Ambassador Gerry Díaz Bartolomé, joined the delegation and the Argentine companies participating in the fair.

The United States is the third-largest destination for Argentina’s seafood exports, which reached USD 2.066 billion in 2025, underscoring the importance of continuing to strengthen the presence of Argentine products in this market.

Participation in this fair forms part of the Consulate’s broader trade promotion efforts, in its role as Promotion Center, to support the internationalization of Argentine companies and expand export opportunities in the Northeastern U.S. market.
