Argentina Launches Open Call for the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, through its Directorate of Cultural Affairs, together with the National Secretariat of Culture and the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency, announces the Open Call for Preliminary Project Proposals in the Visual Arts. The selected project will represent Argentina at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, to be presented in the Argentine Pavilion.

The Biennale will take place from May 9 to November 22, 2026, under the artistic direction of Koyo Kouoh and the curatorial theme “In Minor Keys.”

A distinguished jury will evaluate the submissions to determine Argentina’s official representation:

  • Amalia Amoedo, President, Fundación Ama Amoedo
  • Sergio Baur, President, National Academy of Fine Arts
  • Andrés Duprat, Director, National Museum of Fine Arts
  • Tulio Andreussi Guzmán, President, National Endowment for the Arts
  • Rodrigo Moura, Artistic Director, MALBA – Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires
  • Adriana Rosenberg, President, Fundación PROA
  • Eugenia Usellini, President, Fundación Museo Castagnino


The call for submissions is open from August 21 to September 25, 2025. Interested participants must review and accept the Terms and Conditions, available for download, and complete the registration form.
