On June 24, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in New York will celebrate the inauguration of “Argentina Way,” the permanent designation of the block where the Consulate is located.
Approved by the New York City Council, this distinction recognizes eight decades of Argentina’s presence in its historic home on Manhattan’s 56th Sreet and celebrates the enduring ties of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding between Argentina and New York City.
The designation also honors the relationships built over generations with our community through diplomacy, cultural exchange, the arts, trade and investment promotion, and the many connections that continue to strengthen the bonds between our peoples.
The Consulate General extends its sincere gratitude to the New York City Council for the approval granted to this significant initiative and for its continued support of the Argentine community in New York.
Location: Corner of 56th Street and Fifth Avenue
Date: June 24, 2026
Time: 7:00 p.m.
The ceremony will take place outdoors on the public roadway, which will remain open to traffic throughout the event.
We look forward to sharing this historic and special occasion with our community and friends of Argentina in New York.
