On April 28, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in New York hosted the first event of the 2026 season of the series “Emprendedores Imparables | Unstoppable Entrepreneurs: Argentine Founders Shaping the Future.”
Under the title “Argentina’s Got Talent,” the event brought together Argentine founders active in the United States for a conversation focused on the processes of building, scaling and integrating into the U.S. innovation ecosystem.
The panel was moderated by Ignacio Marchionna (Co-founder of Draper House Americas) and featured Matías Recchia (Co-founder and CEO of Keyway and Kona Energy), Tarek Ali Zaki (Co-founder and CEO of OncoPrecision), and Juan Manuel Barrero (Founder of Lazo).
The discussion explored opportunities and challenges across sectors such as energy, biotechnology, and professional services, including Argentina’s potential to integrate into value chains linked to energy-intensive digital infrastructure, particularly in the development of data centers. The dynamics of deep tech startups were also addressed, characterized by long-term horizons and the need for progressive validation.
Additionally, the panel examined the impact of artificial intelligence on the transformation of professional services, highlighting a shift toward more automated and results-oriented models, while underscoring the continued importance of expert judgment in complex decision-making.
From an entrepreneurial perspective, the dialogue covered key aspects such as fundraising, building credibility in international markets, and the importance of consistency in execution, emphasizing the diversity of pathways available for startup growth. In this context, resilience, adaptability, and an early global outlook were identified as defining traits of the Argentine ecosystem.
The event included an interactive exchange with the audience and concluded with a networking session that strengthened connections among entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders. It also featured the promotion of the “Next Argentina” platform and the launch of the Argentina Innovation Hub during New York Tech Week.
Through initiatives such as “Emprendedores Imparables | Unstoppable Entrepreneurs,” the Consulate General continues to consolidate its role as a platform connecting Argentine talent with New York’s global innovation and investment ecosystem.
