This exhibition invites visitors on a journey through a body of work that brings together Bruno Rodríguez Maraude’s ongoing visual research into geometry, everyday objects, and upcycling as a contemporary artistic practice. The works establish a continuous dialogue between order and tension, precision and sensitivity, in which familiar materials are re-signified through rigorous and intentional construction.
Organized around clear geometric structures, the pieces explore color, repetition, and modulation to create dynamic visual rhythms. Each work functions as an autonomous system while also forming part of a broader series, reinforcing ideas of continuity and cohesion. The surface becomes a site of experimentation, where light and shadow generate shifting readings, transforming objects from their original function into purely aesthetic and conceptual forms.
The artist’s architectural background is evident in his command of plane, proportion, and materiality, while the artistic gesture introduces an emotional charge that disrupts the neutrality of geometric order. The result is a carefully calibrated balance between rationality and expression, inviting slow, attentive contemplation.
Beyond presenting transformed objects, the exhibition encourages reflection on consumption, material memory, and the potential to create new meanings from what already exists. Situated at the intersection of art, design, and architecture, the exhibition reaffirms the artist’s identity and his ongoing exploration of new ways of seeing within contemporary art.
