Open Call | Río Negro International Art Biennial (BIARN) 2026

March 12 to 21 - Valcheta, Río Negro, Argentina

The Rio Negro Art Biennial (BIARN) is a space of encounter between contemporary art, the community and the Patagonian territory.

Organized by the Secretariat of Culture of Río Negro in collaboration with the Municipality of Valcheta, the Biennial is consolidated as an active platform for contemporary artistic practices.

For ten days, visual artists, curators and cultural agents integrate with the community and its environment -natural and urban- to create works, experiences and reflections that dialogue with the context.

Edition 2026: Imaginary Heritages, Possible Worlds

The third edition of BIARN proposes to rethink the way we inhabit, remember and project the commons. Under this curatorial axis, the Biennial invites us to imagine other possible worlds based on new symbolic and affective heritages.

Up to 12 projects will be selected through a public call open until September 14, 2025. The results will be announced in November.
