The celebration of the “Malbec World Day 2016” in New York took place at the Dream Hotel Downtown on April 15th, between 6 PM and 10 PM. This was one of the more than 70 events that happened around the world that pay tribute to Argentina’s Flagship grape variety.

The tasting of Malbec’ wines was done by 31 wineries of Argentina. The participating wineries were: ACHAVAL-FERRER; ALAMOS WINERY; ESCORIHUELA; ALTA VISTA; BENEGAS; CARO; CATENA ZAPATA; RENACER; DOMAINE BOUSQUET; DOMINIO DEL PLATA; DOÑA PAULA; EL ESTECO; LUIGI BOSCA / FAMILIA ARIZU; FECOVITA; FINCA EL ORIGEN; FINCA SOPHENIA; GRAFFIGNA; JELU ESTATE; LA JUSTINA; ABREMUNDOS; MARCELO PELLERITI WINES; MEVI; MONTEVIEJO; NIETO SENETINER; PASCUAL TOSO; PROEMIO WINES; SALENTEIN; TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES; TRAPICHE; VALENTIN BIANCHI; VASIJA SECRETA.

Following the moto “Let’s Celebrate A Classic”, were served Argentinean appetizers. Also, as entertainment, there was a video station, music by DJ and composer Jimena Fama.

Wines of Argentina was in charge of the organization of the event with Argentina Tourism, and the support of the Argentine Consulate in New York.
